A Seller invitation asks you to review the information the Seller entered about your business and existing service arrangement.
You can connect the invitation to an existing Vendor you manage or create a new Vendor if the business is not yet on the platform.
After reviewing the Seller's information, you can:
Request changes;
Decline support; or
Confirm & Accept Invite.
Invitation links may expire, so we recommend responding promptly.
1. Open the invitation and sign in
Open the invitation link from the email.
You must be signed in with your normal user account before you can continue.
If you do not have an account yet, create one, sign in, and return to the invitation link.
The Invitation Acceptance page shows which user account is signed in.
Check this carefully before continuing.
At present, each Vendor can have only one Company administrator. Team access and multiple administrators for one Vendor are not yet supported, so make sure you are using the user account that should manage this Vendor.
2. Assign the invitation to the correct Vendor
If the signed-in user already manages one or more Vendor businesses, they appear in the selector.
Choose the correct Vendor and select Assign Invitation.
Do not create a second Vendor profile for the same real business.
If your business does not yet have a Vendor profile, select Create New Vendor.
If you need to create the Vendor first, complete the Vendor activation and validate the Company Primary Email.
See:
How do I activate my Vendor business?
3. Act as the Vendor and open My invites
Once the Vendor exists and you are acting as that Vendor, open My invites in the Vendor Dashboard.
The menu shows a badge when unresolved invitations are waiting.
The My invites page shows basic context for each invitation, such as:
Seller;
invitation email;
event date;
venue/location;
service;
current status;
Preview listing.
Select Preview listing.
4. Review the Seller's information
The Preview shows the information the Seller entered about the part of the opportunity that involves your business.
Review the service, contract information, documents, payment information and other details shown to you.
A Seller can invite you before the Listing has been published, so the information may still be incomplete.
Do not confirm information that is inaccurate or materially incomplete just because you have received an invitation.
Your job at this stage is to confirm whether the Seller has represented your existing arrangement accurately enough for you to join the opportunity.
5. If something needs correcting: Request changes
Choose Request changes when you are willing to participate but something is incorrect, incomplete or needs clarification.
This opens normal email communication with the Seller.
Explain what needs to be corrected. The Seller updates the information, and you can return later to the same invitation, review it again and make your final decision.
Requesting changes does not decline or close the invitation.
The invitation remains unresolved until you later accept or decline it.
Because invitation links may expire, keep the correction moving and return to the invitation promptly once the Seller has updated the information. An unresolved invitation should not be treated as having no time limit.
If the Listing is already live and Buyers are in the DealRoom, they can see that you and the Seller are working to align the details.
6. If you do not want to participate: Decline support
Choose Decline support if you do not want to support this Seller's transfer opportunity.
Use this when the issue is not simply missing or incorrect information, but that you do not want to participate.
If the Listing is already live and Buyers are in the DealRoom, they can see the invitation status for each Vendor and will see that support has been declined by this Vendor.
7. If the information is correct: Confirm & Accept Invite
Choose Confirm & Accept Invite only when:
the information presented about your service and existing arrangement is accurate to the best of your knowledge; and
you are willing to join this Seller's opportunity.
Before the button becomes available, confirm:
I confirm that I am authorized to act for this vendor, that the information above is accurate to the best of my knowledge, and that I agree to participate in this deal under the Deal Room NDA.
Why do I agree to the Deal Room NDA?
The DealRoom is designed as a safe, controlled shared space where Sellers, Buyers and Vendors can discuss information that may be commercially or contractually sensitive.
The DealRoom uses the same Deal Room NDA and six DealRoom Rules as the common framework for participants.
When a Vendor accepts a Seller invitation, the Vendor explicitly confirms the Deal Room NDA in the acceptance checkbox.
Buyers explicitly confirm both the NDA and the six DealRoom Rules when requesting DealRoom access and can open the Rules to read them before confirming.
Using this shared framework protects everyone involved and makes it possible to discuss contracts, payment obligations, practical constraints and other deal details more openly than on a public Listing.
The six DealRoom Rules govern participation in the DealRoom and remain available inside the DealRoom for everyone to review later.
8. Confirm one final time
After selecting Confirm & Accept Invite, you will see a final confirmation:
Confirm Vendor participation
By accepting, you confirm that the information shown about your service and existing arrangement is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are willing to join this opportunity.
You are not approving a specific Buyer or final Transfer at this stage.
Select Confirm & Accept Invite again to finish, or Cancel to return without accepting.
Accepting the invitation confirms the Seller's information and joins your Vendor to the opportunity.
If the Seller later accepts a specific Buyer's Offer, you separately review that proposed Transfer and decide whether to approve or refuse it.
What happens after I accept?
Your Vendor becomes part of the Listing and gains access to its DealRoom context.
You can participate in the DealRoom conversations relevant to the opportunity.
Each approved Buyer has their own discussion, with the Seller and the relevant participating Vendors included.
The Seller receives an internal notification that the Vendor has joined.
Later, if the Seller selects a specific Buyer proposal, you review the proposed Transfer and can approve or refuse it.
Can the Seller publish before I accept?
Yes.
Vendor invitations do not need to be completed before the Seller publishes the Listing.
A Listing can therefore be live while one or more Vendors are still pending.
Approved Buyers may enter and review the DealRoom while Vendor confirmations are still being completed.
However, Buyers cannot submit an Offer until all required Vendors have joined.
Inside the DealRoom, Buyers can see which Vendors have already confirmed and which are still pending. Responding promptly helps the Seller move the opportunity forward and shows Buyers that the Vendor is actively participating.
When the final required Vendor accepts, Buyers who already have Seller-approved DealRoom access and were waiting for Vendor completion are notified that the opportunity is now open for Offers.
What if I created my Vendor directly even though an invitation exists?
That is fine.
Creating a Vendor directly from the Vendor Dashboard is a normal supported path.
The direct path does not automatically bring the Seller's invitation email into your Secondary Emails during Vendor creation.
If that invitation email is another address associated with your business, you can add it manually as a Secondary Email.
If your business uses only one email address, there is nothing else you need to do.
After the Vendor is set up and validated, act as that Vendor and open My invites to continue.
