Who do I pay during a Transfer?

Direct answer

You pay the agreed offered price to the Seller for the prepaid value you are acquiring. Any amounts still due for Vendor services are paid directly to the relevant Vendors according to their terms and payment schedule.

The platform currently does not hold the money exchanged between the Seller, Buyer and Vendors.

Why this matters

The Transfer brings together two different kinds of payment:

  • the value the Seller has already paid and is transferring to the Buyer; and

  • the amounts that are still owed to the Vendors for their services.

Keeping those payments tied to the relevant party makes it clear who is being paid for what.

For example, a Buyer may pay the Seller for deposits already paid, while later paying the remaining balance directly to the Vendor according to that Vendor’s terms and payment schedule.

Where can I see what needs to be paid?

The Deal Specification shows the relevant payment position for each part of the deal, including what has already been paid and what remains payable.

Before making an Offer, review those figures so you understand:

  • what you will pay the Seller;

  • what remains payable to each Vendor; and

  • when those Vendor payments are due.

What to do next

Use the Deal Specification as your payment reference and follow the Seller payment instructions and each Vendor’s terms and payment schedule.
