A Seller is the person or organization that originally arranged the event and contracted with the relevant Vendors, but can no longer use some or all of those arrangements.

The Seller uses the platform to offer that prepared event opportunity for Transfer to a Buyer.

What is the Seller transferring?

The Seller is not selling a used event or a completed service.

They are offering the value connected with arrangements that are still available, which can include:

  • reserved Vendor services and capacity;

  • deposits or other amounts already paid;

  • the applicable Vendor terms;

  • and the planning already completed around the event.

The Transfer remains subject to the required Vendor approvals.

What is the Seller responsible for?

The Seller is responsible for presenting the opportunity accurately.

That includes:

  • describing the event arrangements;

  • recording the relevant Vendor services, terms and payment position;

  • inviting Vendors to verify their participation;

  • keeping the deal information accurate as questions are clarified;

  • and deciding which Buyers are given access to the DealRoom.

The Seller also chooses the asking price for the prepaid value they want to transfer.

What happens when Buyers are interested?

Approved Buyers can review the detailed opportunity in the DealRoom and ask questions.

The Seller can respond directly and can turn useful general clarifications into shared deal FAQs so the same question does not need to be answered repeatedly.

Buyers may then make Offers. The Seller decides which Offer, if any, they want to proceed with.

Why this matters

The Seller knows the history of the event and the arrangements they originally made, so they are the starting point for building an accurate Transfer opportunity.

Vendor confirmation and the DealRoom then help make that information clear enough for a Buyer to evaluate.

What to do next

If you are a Seller, start by creating your Listing and entering the event arrangements as accurately as possible.

Then invite the relevant Vendors to review and confirm their participation.
