The platform is international, so an event that is local for one person may be a destination event for someone else.
Vendors may also use different currencies. Each Vendor’s agreement therefore keeps its original currency, while the platform may show some amounts converted into your selected display currency to make the deal easier to understand and compare.
These conversions are for information only. They do not change the currency or amount that is actually payable to the Vendor.
Why this matters
A single event can involve people and Vendors from different countries.
For example:
the Seller may be based in one country;
the Buyer may be browsing from another;
and individual Vendors may have agreements in different currencies.
Showing selected amounts in one display currency makes it easier to understand the overall opportunity without changing the underlying Vendor agreements.
How should I read the price summary?
The price summary may show amounts such as:
the Seller’s asking price;
amounts still payable to Vendors;
total value;
and the estimated saving
in your selected display currency.
If some of those amounts have been converted, the information icon next to the summary explains that converted values are being used.
The converted figures help you understand the deal at a glance. The original Vendor currency remains the reference for the amounts you actually owe under that Vendor’s terms.
What should I check before making an Offer?
Review the Deal Specification and make sure you understand:
what has already been paid;
what remains payable to each Vendor;
and the currency that applies to each Vendor’s service.
That is what matters when the actual Vendor payments become due.
